Cold-rolled
When thinner sheet metal is needed or when a finer surface is required than that produced in a hot rolling process, the sheet must be cold rolled.
One starts with a hot-rolled material and starts the process when the material is not heated; hence the name cold rolled. After cold rolling, the material is annealed. Cold rolled material can be controlled to be either very malleable – soft, or very strong – hard.
Cold rolled we normally sell in dimensions 0.5 – 3.0 mm. However, it is also possible to order thinner and thicker ones.
