Hot-galvanised

Hot-rolled and cold-rolled materials can be coated with various surface coatings to increase their resistance to rust.

Hot galvanizing is the most common method and provides good rust protection. The material is heated and cooled to about 470°, before passing through a zinc bath that is 465° hot. After that, the material is cooled before being rolled easily to obtain the final properties. Galvanized sheet is sold in thicknesses and surface finishes ranging from 0.4 to 4.0 mm.
