For absolute best rust protection, the hot-dip galvanised, Magizinc-coated or aluminium-zinc-coated thin sheet can be painted. However, it may not always be for rust protection that a painted material is chosen.

To save time and money, in some cases it can be profitable to buy the sheet metal pre-painted. Why powder coat it afterwards when you can buy the material in the right color directly from your supplier?
